In my exprience - Akitas are the best dogs ever.  The Akita doesn't need to be taught to guard its people, it watches, observes, and guards quite naturally.

 The Akita is a strong, confident, profoundly loyal breed.  These burly, double-coated dogs frequently serve as hunting dogs and  guard dogs. Part of the working dog group, these quiet, often aloof  pups, are affectionate with their owners.

 MMIW, which stands for  Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, is a term used to describe the  disproportionate number of missing and murdered Indigenous women and  girls in the United States and Canada. The term has also expanded to include Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirits (MMIWG2S). This  is a crisis that highlights the need for increased attention and action  to protect Indigenous women and girls from violence and abuse.

•  4 out of 5 of our Native women experienced some form of violence in their lifetime.
• Native women face murder rates more  10x times the national average. 
• Homicide is the third leading cause of death among Native girls, women aged 10 to 24, and the fifth leading cause of death for Native women aged 25 to 34.

2025 I started keeping my own bees

Prior, my bff, Tom Ferry, Artist Extraordinaire & Master Beekeeper kept bees on my property.

This year I purhased packages from a wonderful company - Oliver Honey Bees.

Not stopping there, Golden West Queens also boast impressive mite  resistance, a crucial attribute in modern beekeeping. Their ability to  withstand the challenges posed by parasitic mites, such as Varroa  destructor, underscores their resilience and longevity.

Emotional Intelligence is one of my passions. It's been said that IQ will get you the job, but EQ is how you'll keep it.
